The "Campee" is as the name suggests, intended for cyclocamping duties and the loads this entails. So the setup consists of a traditional rear rack with a demountable panels on each side onto which you can lash rollup mattresses, tents, sleeping bags and the other bulky lightweight objects. It aint cheap, you could easily afford a few nights b&b for the price, but as always with Nitto it oozes goodness in its quality and implementation. Also worth considering is that because the side panels are demountable you can run it for most of the year when not touring as a straightforward lightweight carrier.
Note, if you will, the pump-peg like mushroom shaped protrusions under the flat top of the carrier. We assume they are intended to hook elastic or other fastenings over. There are hoops on the side panels for straps too. This is a superbly designed item. The whole caboodle is made from lightweight steel tubing.
