uro-Asia Imports was founded by Bob Hansing in 1973. Bob's original intention was to import the finest European and Japanese components to the US. In the last few years, the company has begun to manufacture and export its own components. We're proud to have been selected as EAI's first UK dealer.
BAREKNUCKLE FRAME || COGS: GOLDMEDAL PRO | SUPERSTAR | STEEL 1/8 | STEEL 3/32 || CHAINRING BOLTS || LOCKRING

|
EAI's Bareknuckle is a no-logo steel track/training frame, pure and simple. Click the stickers at left to learn more about geometry, tubing, construction and so on and to view a photo gallery, hot from the woodshed round the back of Castle Hubjub. There are links to some Bareknuckles on the FG Gallery, as well. EAI have reversed their decision to discontinue the Bareknuckle, and frames are now reappearing in California. We're planning to restock this summer. Meanwhile, it should be possible to obtain your preferred size and colour on custom order.

The GoldMedal Pro, now somewhat reworked from its original appearance, is EAI's ne plus ultra cog. The distinctive colour isn't gold plating, but hard-wearing and slippery titanium nitride. The aircraft-grade stainless steel at the cog's core is subjected to multiple heat treatments, and the complex tooth profile provides both optimum chain engagement and minimum friction. It is the cog of choice for Jamie Staff, Chris Hoy and Bradley Wiggins, and every one comes in its own colour-coded wallet. Um, did I undersell it? Expanded stock.

The SuperStar shares much of the technology of the GoldMedal, but without the gold-coloured coating. You still get the aircraft-grade stainless, the complex profiling reflecting EAI's decades of track experience, and the neat fabric wallet (although it isn't colour-coded). Plus it has absolutely the best steel polish job ever, so will appeal if you have a thing for silver components.

EAI 1/8 steel sprockets are among our biggest sellers. There's no magic: these are simply very tough, very well-machined steel sprockets from a maker famous for its commitment to quality. We don't know of a conventional sprocket that gives better durability. We now stock all sizes 13 to 20t, and larger sizes up to 22t are available on custom order. Most cogs now ship in the new, smooth finish, like that of the larger 3/32 cog shown below, but EAI still supply some sizes in the older style. Fully restocked.

All the good thoughts above apply also to EAI 3/32 steel sprockets, although -- like most track sprockets -- they won't fit 9 and 10spd chains. EAI mostly supplies cogs in the new smooth design, like that of the larger sprocket shown at left, but the company still sends us some sizes in the older 'concentric grooves' finish.

EAI single chainring bolts are what you need to install a 1/8" or 3/32" single chainring on a double or triple crank -- or a track chainset, come to that. These aren't in any way exciting, being made decently enough in nickel steel, with an allen bolt fitting one side and a slot the other. It is still stupidly hard to find single chainring bolts in the UK, and these do the job pretty well. We sell tons.

EuroAsia lockrings are ISO-threaded, meaning that they will fit Campagnolo hubs of the last few generations. Compatibles, too. They're a good bit cheaper than the Campy versions (which are available on custom order) and they don't need expensive dedicated tools.
